What to expect from your first Debit Order

Premiums are payable in advance and can be paid via debit order, EFT or by an employer.

Available debit dates are the 1st, 5th, 7th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 31st/last day. Debits collected prior to the 25th are for the month in which they are collected, debits for the 25th and 31st are for the following month

Your first debit will be collected on your chosen debit date. Should your policy incept after your selected debit date, a double debit will be collected on the next date if you do not make arrangements for a forced/ad-hoc debit.

If you have missed the cut-off for your first premium, please contact us or send a mail to payments@sirago.co.za to arrange for a forced debit or cash payment.

Example 1:

Application is submitted on the 20th of April for inception 1 May with debit date selected as the 1st.

A single premium will be collected on 1st of May for the May cover period.

Example 2:

Application is submitted on the 30th of June for inception 1 July with debit date selected as the 1st.

A double premium will be collected on 1st of August for the July and August cover periods as the cut-off was missed for collection on 1 July.
