Co-payment cover is for the co-payments, excesses or deductibles imposed by a medical scheme for specified procedures, cover for hospital admission fees, scans, or surgical procedures. Co-payments related to cancer are catered for in the Cancer Benefit.

Benefit description:


This benefit provides cover for co-payments imposed by your Medical Scheme for specialised procedures, hospital admission fees, scans or surgical procedures.



Important points to consider:

  • Co-payments levied by a provider directly are not covered.
  • Penalty fees do not fall within this benefit.
